Live the Past at the Oklahoma State Capitol, Recall it at Bricktown Hotel

The State of Oklahoma has its seat of government in Oklahoma City’s Oklahoma State Capitol Building. It is one of the most important political and historically significant monuments in Oklahoma City, something visitors to the city can’t afford to miss.

The Oklahoma State Capitol has many interesting facts surrounding it. The most exciting of these is that it is the only state capital grounds in the United States featuring active oil rigs. The capitol building is itself located atop the Oklahoma City Oil Field! The second exciting fact is that the Oklahoma State Capitol is also home to over 100 works of art that include bronze sculptures, murals, paintings and portraits. These works of art invariably serve to educate visitors about the history of the state. The paintings especially denote milestones in the state’s history, such as the painting of President Roosevelt signing the document granting statehood to Oklahoma and making it the 46th state of America.

After a healthy dose of history, the Bricktown Hotel would satisfy with its refreshing hospitality and creature comforts. The hotel is home to great amenities such as:
